Pediatric In-Home & Acute Care Registered Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Visit members in their homes and community environments to deliver episodic, longitudinal, and urgent pediatric care.

• Establish trusted, compassionate relationships with children and their families, ensuring culturally responsive and coordinated care.

• Collaborate as part of an integrated care team that includes physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, navigators, social workers, and therapists.

• Conduct and document assessments in-home; perform procedures such as ear irrigation, point-of-care testing, IV placement and lab draws, wound care, and medication administration.

• Offer patient and family education, follow-up care, and care coordination through the Imagine Pediatrics platform.

• Adapt to the virtual acute care RN role to carry out virtual assessments and manage urgent pediatric situations using established protocols.

• Record care in the EMR (Athena) and communicate with families via Imagine Pediatrics’ proprietary application.

• Confidently utilize virtual platforms and digital tools to facilitate care delivery.

• Execute other assigned duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active RN compact license is required.

• PALS & BLS certifications are mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is essential.

• Preferred qualifications include EMS (EMT/P) experience and 2+ years of pediatric home care experience.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

• A minimum of 3+ years in pediatric nursing is required, ideally with experience in high-acuity settings (ED, urgent care, transport, or similar).

• 1–2 years of experience in pediatric emergency medicine is necessary.

• A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record are required.

• Must be comfortable driving long distances in various weather conditions.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a home environment are essential.

• Familiarity with EMRs, virtual platforms, and mobile documentation tools is expected.
