📋 Description

• Review and verify the provided PDF-page tasks; ensure the page is in Japanese, legible, contains authentic content, and excludes personal information.

• Identify and delineate every significant page area, assign component types, and establish reading-order indices.

• Connect regions to their corresponding figures or tables by utilizing parent component identifiers.

• Accurately transcribe all text as presented, including kanji, hiragana, katakana, furigana, and handwritten content; highlight any illegible areas.

• Document language, type of document, source, page dimensions, and flags for tables, formulas, and handwriting.

• Thoroughly review colleagues' work from start to finish as a secondary Japanese expert.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native Japanese speaker with comprehensive knowledge of kanji, hiragana, and katakana, including furigana and various character forms.

• Professional background in interpretation, journalism, transcription, translation, editorial work, or similar document-heavy roles.

• Exceptional character-level accuracy and meticulous attention to precise transcription.

• Systematic implementation of a taxonomy across numerous pages.

• Ability to work comfortably with vertical text, multi-column newspapers, examination papers, and handwritten documents.

• Experience in annotation, labeling, grading, bilingual evaluation, MTPE, subtitling, bilingual QA, OCR correction, post-editing, typesetting, copy-editing, proofreading, digitization, Unicode normalization, Japanese input methods, full-width and half-width forms, or handling kanji variants are considered beneficial specialties.
