
Payroll Vendor Relationship Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take charge of collaboration with external Payroll partners.
• Perform ongoing global market research to identify the most suitable payroll vendors and emerging trends.
• Assess vendor criteria related to disaster recovery, change management, audit and reconciliation, quality control, data security, data accuracy, compliance, and timely processing, and recommend the best options.
• Create and implement questionnaires, organize demonstrations with stakeholders, and conduct cost analyses.
• Provide recommendations based on research findings and market trends to stakeholders and leadership.
• Oversee the complete onboarding process for new countries, which includes vendor selection, contract negotiations, legal risk mitigation, stakeholder alignment, system and data migration, testing, and communications.
• Evaluate company best practices to maximize client satisfaction.
• Enhance communication and partnership with external vendors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to ensure that vendors fulfill expectations, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Review invoices and monitor billed expenses against contractual obligations; report any discrepancies to leadership.
• Document and analyze costs for specific countries or departments and lead discussions on cost management.
• Conduct headcount and legal entity cost analysis to enhance business efficiency and scalability.
• Work alongside Tax, FP&A, Legal, Security, Operations, and Onboarding teams for payroll solution implementation.
• Recognize deployment challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Develop training programs and oversee internal training resources, including quick-start guides.
• Maintain regular communication with Payroll team management.
• Experience in regional and global payroll vendor operations.
• Proven experience in implementing payroll software across multiple countries.
• Expertise in managing relationships with third-party payroll vendors.
• Exceptional contract negotiation skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of global payroll best practices.
• Outstanding time management and organizational abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
• High proficiency in using spreadsheets is essential.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment with a commitment to making an impact.
• Willingness to work mostly asynchronously.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English is required.
