Payroll Specialist Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Serve as a genuine subject matter expert for the country.

• Maintain and nurture existing relationships with key stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering.

• Oversee the complete in-house payroll process, including statutory filing requirements, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance.

• Ensure the integrity and quality of all data.

• Handle payroll journals and reconciliations.

• Concentrate on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Initiate and enhance processes for greater efficiency.

• Mentor and provide support to payroll specialists.

• Act as a backup for regional managers during their absence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing, either in-house or with a payroll service provider.

• Familiarity with payroll best practices.

• Proficient in utilizing software tools such as Excel and Google Suite.

• Possess an analytical mindset with robust problem-solving skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment while demonstrating a commitment to making a positive impact.

• A productivity enthusiast who continually seeks ways to enhance and expedite their work.

• Understand the importance and ideal of working primarily in an asynchronous manner.

• Fluent in both written and spoken English.

• Remote work experience is not a requirement but is considered advantageous.

• Experience with AFAS payroll software is not necessary but will be viewed favorably.
