Payroll Specialist, EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Accurately and timely process French payroll for various companies within the group.

• Ensure adherence to payroll regulations at the country, regional, and local levels.

• Oversee off-cycle payments, adjustments, and the calculation of final pay.

• Prepare and submit necessary filings and reports.

• Validate and rectify payroll data prior to processing.

• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.

• Act as an escalation point for Senior Payroll Analysts and Payroll Analysts.

• Suggest improvements to processes and identify opportunities for automation.

• Interpret payroll policies across different jurisdictions.

• Maintain and audit employee payroll records, encompassing tax withholdings, benefits, and direct deposits.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and rectify discrepancies.

• Collaborate on upgrades, integrations, and configurations of payroll systems.

• Support standardized payroll workflows throughout the EMEA region.

• Assist in documenting and implementing standardized payroll procedures.

• Contribute to harmonization milestones and system enhancements.

• Report to the Payroll Manager as part of the Corporate organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Human Resources.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in processing complex payroll in a multi-country setting.

• Proficient in end-to-end payroll processes, including complex calculations and compliance with statutory requirements.

• Capable of independently managing priorities and making informed decisions.

• Comfortable handling escalations and sensitive payroll issues.

• Native-level proficiency in French.

• Business-level proficiency in English.

• Advanced experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, SAP, or similar is advantageous.

• Strong communication skills for engaging with employees and cross-functional stakeholders are a plus.

• Proven problem-solving skills to troubleshoot payroll challenges and implement effective solutions are a plus.

• Ability to excel in a dynamic, multi-country operational environment is a plus.
