This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Oversee in-house payroll functions utilizing the local payroll software, Numbrs.
• Configure client-specific needs, local legal obligations, Collective Bargaining Agreements, and pay code setups.
• Manage the complete payroll cycle, including the collection, calculation, entry, and validation of payroll information.
• Coordinate with local authorities and handle paperwork, filings, and registrations regarding social security, tax authorities, and statutory obligations.
• Maintain archives of completed documentation and assist with audits.
• Ensure adherence to monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filing requirements.
• Collect employee documentation, calculate tax processing, and generate necessary reports and forms.
• Update and maintain employee records in the payroll database.
• Create and distribute payslips.
• Address employee questions related to wages, deductions, attendance, and timekeeping records.
• Manage exemptions and changes in employee status.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Ensure confidentiality of payroll records.
• Prepare payroll reports for documentation and managerial analysis.
• Provide support for HR operations within the country.
• Serve as a point of escalation for client employees and resolve their inquiries.
• Monitor HR trends and regulatory updates, communicating changes to relevant teams.
• Assist with various ad hoc projects.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in in-house payroll processing in the Netherlands is essential.
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English is required.
• Candidates must be based in Europe.
• Extensive experience in managing payroll independently using payroll software.
• Experience with payroll processing in Portugal and Slovakia is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Competent in using computers and payroll software.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
