This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Execute payroll operations for the organization.

• Gather and import hours and earnings data from multiple systems and sources for weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing.

• Conduct gross-to-net calculations using payroll software.

• Review hours, gross, and net payroll expenses against prior pay periods; investigate and clarify any discrepancies.

• Comply with internal financial controls to ensure SOX compliance.

• Accurately apply earnings and deduction codes along with the appropriate pay rates for employee compensation and tax reporting.

• Address employee payroll inquiries and rectify payroll discrepancies.

• Engage with departments and field branches regarding payroll issues and queries, ensuring prompt resolutions.

• Examine weekly reports to confirm pay rates for newly hired employees and process final payments for terminations in compliance with state regulations.

• Uphold the confidentiality of payroll information.

• Follow HIPAA and PHI regulations as well as federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.

• Report payroll expense inaccuracies to management.

• Deliver excellent customer service to employees and stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.

• Over 2 years of experience in payroll processing.

• Experience with payroll-related tasks in a multi-state payroll setting.

• Strong emphasis on customer service.

• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing with staff at all levels.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with ADP is required.

• Familiarity with ADP Vantage is preferred.

• Ability to collaborate within a team environment.

• High attention to detail.

• Willingness to learn new technology applications.

• Understanding of payroll-related federal and state wage and hour regulations.

• Commitment to adhering to federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and guidelines.

• Compliance with HIPAA laws and PHI regulations and guidelines.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.
