This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Serve as the key payroll compliance authority for designated countries or regions.
• Analyze payroll, tax, social security, labor, and employment laws.
• Keep track of regulatory changes and evaluate their effects on products, processes, and clients.
• Offer practical and commercially viable compliance advice.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to integrate compliance into product development.
• Convert legislative requirements into business and product specifications.
• Review product designs and verify system logic, calculations, workflows, and outputs.
• Assist with product launches and go-live initiatives.
• Provide insights to stakeholders on intricate compliance issues and new regulatory developments.
• Support customer-facing teams with high-risk or complex compliance challenges.
• Offer guidance for market expansion and the introduction of new products.
• Conduct compliance evaluations and reviews.
• Lead or assist in regulatory audits and investigations.
• Identify compliance deficiencies and suggest remediation plans.
• Track legislative changes and communicate updates throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to enact regulatory modifications.
• Develop and maintain compliance documentation, rules libraries, and knowledge resources.
• Design repeatable processes while supporting compliance controls and governance frameworks.
• Contribute to automation and compliance-by-design projects.
• Facilitate training and enablement programs.
• Mentor Payroll Specialists, Product teams, and cross-functional partners.
• Produce documentation and guidance materials that clarify complex legislation.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll, tax, social security, labor, and employment compliance within a specific country or region.
• Strong capability in converting legislation into payroll calculations, processes, and product requirements.
• Experience collaborating with technology, product, or operations teams to apply regulatory requirements.
• Ability to transform complex legislation into scalable business processes and system logic.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Skills in building relationships and influencing stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Customer Experience, and Leadership.
• Capacity to balance compliance demands with operational and commercial realities.
• Confident communication skills with the ability to simplify intricate regulatory concepts.
• Experience in conducting audits, reviews, investigations, or compliance evaluations.
• Skill in identifying root causes and proposing practical corrective measures.
• Strong judgment in managing risk and uncertainty.
• A sense of curiosity, proactivity, commitment to continuous learning, and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
