This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supply all necessary new-hire documentation and information required for verification.
• Manage eligibility to work in the United States through SSN verification.
• Receive and process results from mandatory drug testing and physical examinations.
• Review new-hire information for accuracy and completeness.
• Retain paperwork until any missing or incomplete documentation is received or rectified.
• Input new hires into the HRIS and timekeeping systems.
• Establish and maintain proper employee tax settings.
• Address compliance requests related to contract details, unemployment, and audits.
• Process changes in pay, status, location, and position, entering required information into the HRIS.
• Interpret and apply rules from union agreements regarding pay, vacation, overtime, and holidays.
• Input weekly payroll data, including hours worked, commissions, bonuses, incentives, and Route Sales Representative hours and pay.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, union regulations, and federal and state wage, hour, and tax laws.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in operating and understanding the PC, including Excel, TimeTrak, ADP Enterprise system, and related programs.
• Capability to generate various reports, analyze their contents, and communicate findings when needed.
• Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management and respond positively and effectively to employee inquiries.
• Experience working closely with representatives from Human Resources, Benefits, and Payroll.
• Problem-solving skills to analyze issues and propose and implement solutions.
• Ability to develop processes for Market Centers to ensure efficient paperwork flow and information exchange.
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and demonstrate self-starting abilities.
• Self-directed with the ability to follow through and take initiative.
• Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate processing within established timeframes.
• Proven knowledge of ADP Enterprise systems and time and attendance systems is preferred but not mandatory.
• Business acumen to effectively communicate and collaborate with various levels of staff and management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Sound judgment and effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple business units and/or market centers.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Three to five years of experience as a group payroll processor in a corporate environment is preferred but not essential.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimal travel required.
