This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, assess, and validate payroll data for the US, Canada, UK, and other Employer of Record payrolls.
• Process final paychecks, adjustments, special payments, and employee expense reports.
• Manage the Navan travel platform for both employees and guests.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international payroll regulations.
• Maintain accrued PTO schedules for relevant subsidiaries.
• Audit payroll tax documentation.
• Lead annual audits for 401k and Workers Compensation and assist in the general financial statement audit.
• Develop and uphold process documentation and internal controls.
• Reconcile payroll data with financial records and prepare journal entries related to payroll.
• Address inquiries and concerns from employees regarding payroll.
• Monitor global tax regulations and compliance mandates.
• Provide standard and ad-hoc payroll reports along with commentary on fluctuations and trends.
• Administer payroll systems, ensuring data integrity, and implement system upgrades and improvements.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments regarding employee changes.
• Maintain updates on employee data across Spend Platform and Airbase.
• Oversee benefit allocations and employee program trackers.
• Conduct monthly analysis of payroll-related expense accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• More than 6 years of relevant experience in a SaaS or startup environment.
• Proficiency in Rippling is a must.
• Experience handling multi-subsidiary and global payroll.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll processors such as Rippling, Vistra, and Remote.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar position, with a solid understanding of payroll processes and global tax regulations.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Knowledge of account reconciliation processes and general ledger management.
• Proficient in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
