Payroll Coordinator – 6 Month Fixed Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Ensure adherence to local tax regulations, labor laws, and reporting obligations across all operational jurisdictions.

• Manage and foster relationships with outsourced payroll service providers throughout Europe.

• Conduct reviews and audits of provider performance to ensure accuracy and conformity with Grandstand's standards.

• Collaborate with service providers and the Finance team to address payroll-related concerns and escalations.

• Optimize data collection, input, and reporting processes within the payroll function.

• Guarantee timely and precise payroll tax filings and submissions.

• Work in conjunction with Finance and Legal teams on compliance-related issues.

• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions.

• Identify and apply payroll process enhancements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Compile and present payroll data for management reporting and audits.

• Coordinate with HR regarding benefits that impact payroll.

• Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis, reporting, and process efficiency while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data protection.

• Assist with special projects as assigned by management.


⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience as a payroll coordinator, specialist, or administrator, preferably with exposure to European or multi-country payroll.

• Experience in managing or coordinating with outsourced payroll providers or bureaus, rather than solely processing payroll in-house.

• Strong understanding of PAYE, tax compliance, and labor laws in at least one European jurisdiction.

• Ability to work collaboratively across Finance, Legal, and HR departments.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy when handling sensitive employee data.

• Availability to start within a short timeframe due to the contract nature of the role.

• Proficiency in using AI tools to improve productivity, reporting, and daily operations.

• IPASS qualification (Certificate in Payroll Techniques or higher) is a plus.

• Familiarity with payroll systems such as UKG, Symplify, or similar HRIS/payroll platforms is a plus.

• Previous experience in a rapidly scaling or multi-entity organization is a plus.
