Payroll & Benefits Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Manage the entire payroll process from beginning to end, which includes onboarding new hires, processing terminations, implementing pay adjustments, handling deductions, and executing off-cycle payments.

• Perform audits prior to and following each payroll cycle.

• Register new employees into the benefits systems.

• Handle the termination of benefits and modifications due to life events.

• Ensure that benefits deductions align correctly with payroll.

• Generate reports related to payroll, benefits, and employees for staff, managers, Finance, and external vendors.

• Develop and enhance trackers and checklists for routine tasks.

• Collaborate with the Global People Operations team across various time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of direct experience in payroll and/or benefits administration.

• Experience managing multi-country payroll, preferably in the US, UK, Canada, or India.

• A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in Excel, including the use of lookups, pivot tables, and reconciliations.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Must be available to work during US Eastern hours, from 8 AM to 5 PM ET.

• Experience with ADP or other enterprise payroll platforms is a plus.

• Experience with EOR providers is an advantage.

• Knowledge of US benefits is a bonus.

• Payroll certification such as FPC/CPP or equivalent is advantageous.

• Capability to manage payroll and benefits information with complete confidentiality.

• Skill in effectively communicating across different time zones.
