This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Facilitate the enrollment of new employees in benefit programs.
• Oversee the termination of employee benefits across various platforms, including all plans and COBRA processing.
• Prepare and reconcile manual entries for leaves of absence with state benefit websites.
• Accurately submit HSA and FSA elections with each payroll cycle.
• Present benefit-related expenses to Accounts Payable for authorization.
• Provide necessary data and documentation to support audits.
• Conduct audits of payroll records during processing and upon request.
• Reconcile payroll data with quarterly tax submissions.
• Update payroll tax codes and configure new state and local tax authorities.
• Ensure the validation and maintenance of accurate data across systems.
• Engage in Compensation and Benefit Team projects.
• Perform additional assigned tasks.
• A Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of equivalent experience in payroll, benefits & expenses, or a related field.
• Strong preference for experience with US-based pension and benefits programs.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits is preferred.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and trends.
• Practical experience processing payroll or benefits using Workday or ADP Workforce Now, along with other relevant HR information systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to time-sensitive deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to present data clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other related software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize significant projects.
• Candidates must be based locally in the Pittsburgh area.
• Work schedule must accommodate U.S. Payroll and Benefits with an 8:00 AM ET start time.
