
Payroll and HRIS Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accurately process bi-weekly payroll on schedule, encompassing salaries, bonuses, benefits, taxes, and deductions.
• Design and implement systems for processing payroll transactions.
• Oversee year-end processes and collaborate with benefits and finance teams to meet critical deadlines.
• Respond promptly to employee inquiries via payroll calls and emails.
• Establish and enforce security administration policies and protocols for HRIS access.
• Maintain comprehensive HRIS employee records, including job details, compensation, benefits, and performance information.
• Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of data.
• Create reports and dashboards utilizing HRIS data.
• Collaborate with the HRIS vendor to enhance data utilization and system capabilities.
• Investigate system enhancements and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Provide basic HRIS user support, troubleshoot issues, and address questions.
• Assist HR personnel with inquiries related to the system.
• Work together with HR and Finance to test and implement system upgrades, deployments, and enhancements.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing bi-weekly payroll for over 500 employees.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Paycor, ADP, Paylocity, or UKG.
• Preferred experience leading full utilization of an HRIS system with HR teams and managers; strong leadership skills, energy, and the ability to mentor peers in technology are acceptable if direct experience is lacking.
• Exceptional attention to detail with auditing capabilities.
• Experience in providing information to external auditors.
• Ability to manage time and responsibilities effectively through project management.
• Strong customer service orientation when addressing payroll issues with employees, managers, and leaders.
• Quick to prioritize customer needs with a sense of urgency.
• Preferred background in processing payroll for multi-shift, multi-time-zone, and/or remote staff.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to create and analyze reports for compliance or team requirements.
• High integrity with the ability to resolve issues and deliver excellent customer service.
• Proficiency in documentation and reporting tools, including Microsoft 365 and MS Teams.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer in a remote setting.
• Competence in operating standard office equipment.
• Ability to regularly speak, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
• Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
