
Payroll Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze and interpret ratifications of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) to ensure proper application to employee payroll.
• Prepare and assess calculations for union health, welfare, and pension contributions along with monthly reporting.
• Maintain, evaluate, and report on union dues deductions as directed by local unions.
• Prepare and submit weekly contributions for union 401K plans.
• Conduct audits of payroll cycles to verify the accuracy of deductions and transactions, including retroactive calculations, union dues, FLSA overtime premiums, and union benefit premiums.
• Process special payments under collective bargaining agreements, including vacation buybacks, boot allowances, safety payments, and union bonuses.
• Collaborate with HR Management, Total Rewards, HRIS, Field Management, and cross-functional payroll teams.
• Generate payroll reports as required.
• Share knowledge with team members and provide support to the team.
• Perform additional job-related tasks, including payroll system testing and configuration.
• Proven experience in multi-state payroll processing.
• Fundamental understanding of regular rate of pay calculations as per the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in processing payroll for large organizations with 10,000 or more employees.
• Familiarity with managing multiple union payrolls.
• Experience with Workday or comparable Human Capital Management (HCM) systems.
• Intermediate Excel capabilities, particularly with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
• Familiarity with payroll applications such as ADP, Lawson, Ceridian, and Kronos.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
