
Payroll Accountant – Germany

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee the timely and precise execution of the monthly payroll process for all locations independently.
• Compute salaries, special payments, and deductions accurately using DATEV Lohn & Gehalt.
• Manage statutory notifications, reporting, and certification obligations for social security institutions, tax authorities, and other pertinent organizations.
• Electronically obtain and process certificates of incapacity for work along with other payroll-related information.
• Act as the primary contact for all locations concerning payroll inquiries.
• Liaise with health insurance funds, social security institutions, and government agencies.
• Consistently enhance payroll procedures.
• Assist the HR department with administrative duties and HR initiatives.
• Completed commercial training or an equivalent qualification, ideally with a focus on payroll.
• Several years of experience in payroll accounting, preferably in a multi-location setting.
• Excellent knowledge of wage tax and social security legislation.
• Familiarity with DATEV payroll systems; knowledge of LODAS / Lohn & Gehalt is a plus.
• Organized, precise, and self-sufficient working approach.
• High level of discretion, reliability, and personal responsibility.
