This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership and expand a portfolio of NAPI+ partners, acting as the primary responsible party for strategy, commercial results, escalations, and alignment.
• Lead and enhance embedded finance and fintech product initiatives, encompassing outgoing payments, capital lending, and credit products.
• Propel strategy, roadmap, and collaborative execution with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Develop engagement models, commercial roadmaps, QBR rhythms, collaborative objectives, executive reporting, and escalation procedures.
• Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements, which include new deals, renewals, amendments, and incentive structures.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to enhance volume growth, unit economics, and capabilities.
• Oversee cross-functional execution, ensuring partner-driven initiatives are prioritized, adequately resourced, and delivered as planned.
• Identify and leverage commercial and product opportunities such as payment methods, fraud/risk capabilities, co-marketing efforts, and joint go-to-market strategies.
• Build executive-level visibility and trust with partner leadership through high-level engagement and collaborative planning.
• Assess and report on partnership performance using scorecards, dashboards, and operational reviews.
• Anticipate and handle critical events while mitigating risks to core revenue streams.
• Enhance 8am’s market standing through alignment with global payment leaders and joint marketing, PR, and industry visibility efforts.
• 10–12+ years of progressive experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or commercial partner management within payments, embedded finance, or a similar high-growth technology sector, including experience at a senior/Director level.
• Proven experience managing relationships with large, multinational payments firms, including one or more of the following: card networks, acquirers/processors, issuer-processors, BNPL or embedded finance providers, sponsor banks, etc.
• Preferred experience with embedded finance, lending, or credit products, including collaboration with Risk, Compliance, and Legal to launch new regulated financial products.
• A solid track record of leading complex commercial negotiations from start to finish and delivering measurable growth, revenue, and cost objectives through partnerships.
• Strong commercial acumen and familiarity with financial models, partner P&L impact, interchange and revenue-share economics, and incentive agreements.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to influence partners and internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly autonomous, organized, and results-oriented; comfortable navigating ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Slack, Tableau or Sigma, and modern AI/productivity tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel periodically (~20%) for partner meetings, on-site visits, summits, and industry events.
• Experience in the Legal and/or Accounting industry is an advantage.
