Payment Posting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Record Accounts Payable deposits

• Process electronic 835s and manual payer Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), which include insurance allowables, patient portions, denials, adjustments, contractual allowances, recoups, and forward balancing

• Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOB) remittance codes and apply the appropriate denial codes

• Timely balance and finalize payment batches

• Navigate online platforms to retrieve EOBs

• Oversee approximately 13–14 facilities/clients and adhere to a six-day turnaround time

• Ensure all current-month deposits are posted by the month-end deadline

• Undertake special projects and other assigned responsibilities

• Adhere to applicable billing standards while serving Ventra Health clients

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in posting insurance payments within a healthcare environment

• Preferred: At least two (2) years of experience in interpreting insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements

• Familiarity with various insurance payer types

• Understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements

• Excellent balancing and reconciliation abilities

• Proficient 10 Key calculator skills

• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities

• Solid mathematical skills

• Effective time management skills

• Strong organizational abilities

• Capability to read, comprehend, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies

• Ability to remain adaptable and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced setting

• Proficient in communicating with a diverse range of personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner
