Payment Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the comprehensive chargeback process, which includes preparing and submitting representments.

• Track chargeback volumes, win rates, and associated KPIs utilizing existing reports and tools.

• Collaborate with sellers and internal teams to gather supporting documentation for dispute responses.

• Supervise payment processor dashboards and alerts to detect potential issues or disruptions.

• Provide support for Tier I–II payment-related inquiries from both sellers and internal teams.

• Investigate routine issues related to settlements, refunds, disputes, or processor behavior.

• Aid in documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for chargebacks and payment operations.

• Contribute to the daily health of FastSpring's payment ecosystem for its network of over 2,500 sellers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in payments operations, chargebacks, customer support operations, finance operations, or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of card payments and the chargeback/dispute lifecycle.

• Familiarity with chargeback processing, payment processors, or merchant-of-record environments is advantageous.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adhere to documented processes.

• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

• An interest in expanding knowledge about risk, fraud, and payment optimization.

• Proficient in working with data, dashboards, and spreadsheets.

• Experience with payment processor dashboards or dispute management tools is a plus.

• Comfortable navigating multiple platforms and systems in a dynamic, globally distributed environment.
