This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +3 more states.
• Handle invoices, statements, voucher check requests, and various payment documentation.
• Conduct thorough audits, analysis, and verification of payment activities.
• Ensure the appropriate general ledger accounts for liability, expense, or capital assets are utilized.
• Investigate and address payment inquiries from vendors, providers, members, and business partners.
• Set up and maintain Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) arrangements, including modifications to bank relationships.
• Reconcile and record payments to ensure alignment with documentation and reports.
• Perform audits on payments prior to their release.
• Review, rectify, and reissue failed EFT transactions.
• Maintain logs for check control and claims balancing information.
• Investigate issues, initiate stop-payment orders, and generate replacement payments.
• Implement best practices for payables, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and appropriate approvals.
• Facilitate processes related to improper check endorsements with banking institutions.
• Research discrepancies in the Payables subledger for Financial Accounting and Reporting.
• Carry out daily banking functions, including positive-pay research and decision-making.
• Process mass payment requests efficiently.
• Utilize workflow and additional technologies to investigate outstanding issues and void or reissue payments.
• Update systems to assist in the research and resolution of inquiries from customers and business partners.
• Meet or surpass production, quality, and throughput metrics.
• Use imaging and data-depository systems for research inquiries.
• Maintain records of voided checks and check tracers for retrieval and auditing purposes.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and improving processes.
• Deliver customer service and support to both internal and external business partners.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Over 2 years of experience in general accounting, accounts payable, or disbursement accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven knowledge of Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience with personal computer software applications for general administrative tasks.
• Proficiency in intermediate Excel, Word, email, and calendar applications.
• Ability to accurately process detailed data.
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and excellent communication and customer service aptitude.
• Capability to tolerate ambiguity and make sound decisions.
• Good judgment in handling confidential matters.
• Ability to plan and organize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work flexible hours during high workload periods.
• Experience with AI tools and technologies is highly preferred.
• May be required to work overtime and outside of standard business hours.
• Background check is mandatory.
• For remote work: a wired internet connection with a minimum of 5Mb upload and 10Mb download speeds, and access to a personal mobile device for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
