Patient Support Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Reach out to program patients and evaluate obstacles to starting and completing therapy successfully.

• Provide support to each patient from the time of program enrollment through their treatment journey.

• Identify barriers to therapy and assist patients in understanding and navigating these challenges.

• Educate patients on clinical treatments, prescribed therapies, treatment courses, benefits, known side effects, administration, and dosing guidelines.

• Liaise with insurance payers to ascertain coverage benefits and expected out-of-pocket expenses.

• Identify relevant financial assistance resources.

• Assist patients in managing stress related to their diagnosis.

• Direct patients to support services for non-program-related needs, including social and other intervention initiatives.

• Report adverse events and product complaints in accordance with SOPs and good manufacturing practices.

• Complete corporate policy and procedure training in a timely manner.

• Adhere to all SOPs consistently.

• Undertake additional assigned tasks and projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active RN licensure in the current state of practice is required.

• 2-3 years of nursing experience, particularly with relevant disease states, is preferred.

• Experience in Nurseline triage, Call Center Utilization Management, or Call Center Case Management is advantageous.

• Background in case management or as a Clinical Trial Nurse is a plus.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Must satisfy all work-from-home criteria; remote eligibility depends on business needs.

• Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy is preferred.

• Willingness to travel as necessary is preferred.

• Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screening is required.
