This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Facilitate effective patient experiences throughout their therapy journey via care coordination, education, and psychosocial support.
• Deliver education on medications and disease states.
• Provide clinical insights to improve the clinical aspects of patient support programs.
• Educate and assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers concerning assigned therapeutic areas.
• Build and sustain relationships entirely through a telephonic medium.
• Guide patients on product usage, dosing, administration, devices, insurance coverage, and reimbursement obstacles.
• Assess and contribute to the development of program resources.
• Coordinate financial assistance resource options.
• Adhere to program protocols and escalate complex cases as per established policies and procedures.
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls regarding disease states, products, patient requirements, insurance coverage, and financial support.
• Keep patient account records updated in a digital CRM system.
• Assist healthcare provider offices with prescription inquiries and challenges.
• Document and report adverse events and product or safety complaints in line with program SOPs.
• Engage in customer meetings, training sessions, orientation meetings, and competency assessments.
• Advocate for patients and providers concerning insurance coverage, medical billing, reimbursement, and access to complex pharmaceuticals.
• Participate in a shared after-hours on-call nursing service.
• Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned.
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN, RN).
• Active nursing license in one or more states.
• A minimum of four years of nursing experience.
• Preferred two or more years of experience in nephrology.
• Familiarity with medical insurance terminology, reimbursement, healthcare billing, physician offices, health insurance processing, or related reimbursement experience is advantageous.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; candidates may be required to provide a written test sample.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products.
• Required experience and comfort using a digital CRM.
• High attention to detail and effective communication with patients and providers.
• Strong empathetic listening skills.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and adapt swiftly.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills and experience.
• Must be eligible for licensure in all 50 states.
• Candidates should ideally be able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
• Successful completion of a background check and, based on the position, a drug screening.
