This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Deliver phone-based assistance for Oncology patients and their caregivers throughout the complete patient journey.
• Act as the primary contact for patients, care partners, and healthcare provider or office personnel.
• Offer authorized information and education regarding Oncology care, benefit discussions, disease progression, product knowledge, and general/program-specific resources.
• Provide treatment education using approved FAQs and talking points.
• Enable warm transfers to Specialty Pharmacy, Medical Information, or other relevant program stakeholders when necessary.
• Adhere to training deadlines for corporate policies and procedures related to confidential data.
• Consistently follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Utilize Valeris leadership competencies to foster team success.
• Execute miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned.
• Work the Monday–Friday shift from 11 AM to 8 PM EST.
• Travel as required, up to 25% preferred.
• A valid RN license is mandatory.
• Must be eligible for licensure in all 50 states.
• A minimum of four (4) years of clinical experience is required.
• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Prior experience in oncology is preferred.
• Preferred certifications include Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Certified Case Manager (CCM), and Patient Advocate Certification Specialist (PACS).
• Experience in a manufacturer’s Patient Support Program (PSP) is preferred.
• Prior experience assisting patients and healthcare providers with insurance verification, prior authorization requirements, and access criteria is preferred.
• Experience in case management or care coordination is preferred, including telephonic patient support and/or REMS programs.
• Exceptional communication skills are required.
• A strong sense of patient empathy and understanding is essential.
• Ability to educate while providing emotional support is necessary.
• Highest standards of ethics and integrity are required.
• Experience in motivational interviewing is a plus.
• Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is an advantage.
• Preferably able to type at least 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
• Must meet remote work requirements, including reliable high-speed internet, a dedicated secure workspace, confidentiality, and productivity.
• A background check and, depending on the position, a drug screen will be contingent upon the employment offer.
