This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Provide direct access support for consented patients in communication with relevant stakeholders such as pharmacies, MDOs, and support organizations.
• Supervise quality-control initiatives regarding pharmacy interactions with payers.
• Directly manage the onboarding process for new consented patients.
• Oversee changes in patient status within the Patient Services CRM, ensuring timely follow-up with internal stakeholders and pharmacies.
• Ensure compliance with Patient Support Program business regulations.
• Manage and relay reimbursement-related information to consented patients and MDOs.
• Regulate the flow of information and communication points with consented patients.
• Assist in adherence initiatives.
• Collaborate with Market Access to organize regional educational events on patient reimbursement.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive plans for product access and patient support; spearhead cross-functional execution.
• Lead weekly cross-functional meetings focused on patient product access and ongoing support.
• Partner with Patient Advocacy to engage with patient organizations.
• Design and implement training programs for contracted partners or vendors.
• Collaborate with Marketing and internal commercial teams to provide compliant insights and findings.
• Comply with corporate policies and procedures, including the management of PHI.
• Represent BioCryst at local, regional, and national conferences.
• Travel overnight for meetings, conferences, and medical office visits as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in Specialty Pharmacy and/or biotech/pharma is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Relevant background in pharmaceutical patient access services.
• Necessary experience in oncology, rare disease, or specialty product markets.
• Strong preference for candidates with relevant experience in new product launches.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Creative thinker who is self-directed and capable of developing a plan, garnering alignment, and executing it effectively.
• Highly collaborative, adaptable, and able to work seamlessly across various functions; comfortable engaging with all aspects of a commercial business and providing recommendations to enhance company or team strategies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish and nurture strong relationships with customers and partners.
• Candidates must reside near the Philadelphia or New Jersey areas.
