
Patient Service Representative – Geriatrics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Welcome patients and manage the check-in and check-out processes; perform lobby inspections to ensure cleanliness and comfort.
• Organize provider schedules to enhance appointment accessibility, resource utilization, patient access, waiting times, and follow-up procedures.
• Update patient information, confirm insurance details, create necessary forms, respond to emails, and document emergency contacts in EPIC and other systems.
• Collect copayments and service fees, provide receipts, and balance daily financial transactions.
• Manage multi-line phone systems, take messages, direct inquiries, and make outbound calls for appointment scheduling.
• Relay information about Duly clinical staff to patients and others.
• Arrange follow-up and in-house specialist referral appointments.
• Engage in daily and weekly team huddles.
• Analyze performance dashboards, escalate issues, propose enhancements, or modify workflows.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Track patient wait times and communicate any delays.
• Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.
• High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or clinical environment is preferred.
• Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk position is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in EPIC or similar Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Familiarity with medical office protocols and insurance verification processes.
• Competence in using phones, personal computers, software, and other basic IT systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented with superb organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Capability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stretch for prolonged periods.
• Vision must be correctable to 20/20, and normal hearing is required for telephone communication.
