Patient Enrollment Specialist – Medicare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Promptly return calls to new Mira Mace patients after they sign up.

• Understand the patients' concerns and clarify how Mira Mace’s care operates and how it is covered by Medicare.

• Schedule patients’ initial doctor appointments during the first call.

• Dedicate about 6.5 hours each day to conversing with patients via phone.

• Meet a daily goal of 15 activations, which are defined as patients whose first doctor appointment was arranged during the call.

• Listen attentively to patients and verify their Medicare and plan information.

• Describe Mira Mace services in straightforward terms.

• Follow up via phone and text with patients who missed the call or weren't prepared to engage.

• Record every interaction in the system.

• Highlight urgent needs to the care team.

• Receive incoming calls from patients returning calls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be located within the United States.

• Hold an active LPN/LVN or RN license, Community Health Worker (CHW) certification, or possess 2+ years of experience directly engaging with patients or health-plan members.

• Have a solid understanding of Medicare, including Original Medicare versus Medicare Advantage, Part B, and supplemental plans.

• Be comfortable managing a high volume of phone interactions, assessed based on scheduled visits rather than the number of calls made.

• Ensure a dependable computer and internet connection.

• Maintain a quiet, private area for patient calls and the management of protected health information.

• Be consistently available Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. ET.

• Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours per week.

• Preferred: background in a healthcare call center, patient access, or enrollment position.

• Preferred: knowledge of Medicaid and other public programs.

• Preferred: proficiency in Spanish or another language commonly spoken by Medicare patients.
