This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Conduct pre-prescription disease state education for patients and caregivers via small group sessions and presentations.
• Share information regarding product efficacy, safety, and access support through ACADIA Connect.
• Provide approved educational resources and distribute sanctioned materials related to Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis and the potential treatment with NUPLAZID.
• Establish strong, trusting relationships with patients and caregivers throughout their treatment journey.
• Collaborate with Patient Access Managers to address coverage, reimbursement, and affordability inquiries.
• Facilitate referrals and transitions into ACADIA Connect for access assistance.
• Partner with Neurology Sales Specialists and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists to enhance provider awareness of Patient Educator resources.
• Address inquiries from patients, caregivers, customers, community organizations, and advocacy events.
• Work with community-based organizations, advocacy groups, and professional societies on educational programs.
• Provide insights to marketing to enhance patient engagement and educational initiatives.
• Ensure the protection of patient health information and adhere to privacy and compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or a related healthcare discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a preference for candidates experienced in patient education, patient navigation, advocacy, or pharmaceutical patient support services.
• Knowledge in neurology, psychiatry, or movement disorders is preferred; experience with Parkinson’s Disease or PDP is strongly desired.
• Proven ability to establish empathetic and supportive relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Experience working collaboratively across marketing, patient support services, advocacy, and field-based teams.
• Familiarity with compliance standards applicable to patient-facing pharmaceutical roles.
• Capability to meet travel requirements, which include driving and overnight stays; air travel as necessary.
• Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border and, based on territory needs, within reasonable proximity to a major airport.
• Requires eligibility to operate a company vehicle and the ability to travel independently by air.
• Ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedules or business demands.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
