This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.
• Conduct pre-prescription disease state education sessions for patients and caregivers through small group discussions and presentations.
• Share information regarding product efficacy, safety, and access support via ACADIA Connect.
• Provide approved educational resources concerning Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis and the potential treatment with NUPLAZID®.
• Distribute authorized educational materials while fostering trusting relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Collaborate with Patient Access Managers to address coverage, reimbursement, and affordability inquiries.
• Facilitate patient referrals and assist transitions into ACADIA Connect for access support.
• Work alongside Neurology Sales Specialists and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists to enhance provider awareness of Patient Educator resources.
• Address inquiries from patients, caregivers, customers, community organizations, and at advocacy events.
• Partner with community-based organizations, advocacy groups, and professional societies on educational initiatives.
• Provide feedback and insights to marketing to enhance patient engagement and educational efforts.
• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or a related healthcare field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with preference for candidates who have experience in patient education, patient navigation, advocacy, or pharmaceutical patient support services.
• Preferred knowledge in neurology, psychiatry, or movement disorders; experience with Parkinson’s Disease or PDP is strongly desired.
• Proven ability to establish empathetic and supportive relationships with patients and caregivers.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and active listening abilities.
• Experience working collaboratively across marketing, patient support services, advocacy, and field-based teams.
• Familiarity with compliance standards relevant to patient-facing pharmaceutical roles.
• Must be able to meet travel requirements, including driving and overnight stays; air travel as necessary.
• Must reside within the designated territory or within 30 miles of its boundary.
• Proximity to a major airport is necessary, depending on territory needs.
• Eligibility to operate a company vehicle and capability to travel independently by air.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, handle or operate equipment, and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedules or business demands.
