Patient Education Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead the strategy and implementation of both branded and unbranded education regarding diseases, inheritance, and products for patients and their families within the Rare Disease portfolio.

• Assess the educational needs of patients and create tailored action plans that address their barriers and concerns.

• Facilitate patient education through one-on-one, family, and group meetings, as well as through patient organizations and community outreach.

• Develop and implement patient programming strategies specifically for key accounts.

• Provide disease and product in-services in home and outpatient infusion environments.

• Collaborate effectively with teams in Commercial, Medical, Marketing, and Case Management.

• Analyze data to prioritize initiatives, achieve KPIs, and enhance educational strategies.

• Record communications within the CRM database.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and all legal and regulatory requirements.

• Innovate processes and outcomes for continuous improvement.

• Complete administrative reports and projects as required.

• Maintain medical and scientific knowledge through ongoing education and internal training.

• Provide coverage for caseloads outside of the assigned territory when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in healthcare or life sciences (or equivalent experience).

• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a related field.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, mediation, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to engage with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers effectively.

• Proficient in conveying complex concepts clearly to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.

• Proven success in achieving goals while navigating a complex matrix environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating flexibility, persistence, creativity, empathy, and trustworthiness.

• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.

• Must be willing to travel extensively (50%–75%).

• Genetic counseling certification or nursing registration is preferred.

• A Master of Science degree or another advanced medical or scientific degree is preferred.

• Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

• Background in Genetics, Neurology/Neuromuscular, Renal, or Hematology/Oncology is preferred.

• Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
