This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.
• Engage with patients regarding the repayment of their medical debts.
• Meet designated goals for resolution, call quality, and productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve outstanding medical account balances.
• Gather and update demographic and financial information for patient profiles.
• Negotiate payment plans with patients.
• Make outbound calls and handle inbound calls through the company’s phone system.
• Investigate accounts, document outcomes, and manage accounts through the appropriate client workflows.
• Utilize job aids and crosswalks to address patient inquiries and resolve account issues.
• Communicate with patients and clients to gather the necessary account information.
• Handle accounts in accordance with client standards and federal regulations.
• Ensure quality handling of accounts and maintain accurate documentation of interactions.
• Adhere to FDCPA, HIPAA, Privacy Act, FCRA, state regulations, and company compliance policies.
• Participate in training sessions and apply training and policy updates to daily tasks.
• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least six months of experience in a call center environment is preferred.
• Proficient in using a PC in a Windows operating system.
• Basic keyboarding abilities.
• Prior experience in sales or customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent listening abilities and capability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Good mathematical skills and proficiency with calculators.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Skills in negotiation, counseling, and problem-solving.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to learn the company’s collections computer system and phone system.
• Dependable and persistent, with the ability to overcome objections and eliminate barriers.
• Capability to work at a computer terminal for 6 to 8 hours daily.
• Must reside in the United States.
