This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Serve as the main liaison to ensure effective communication between patients and their healthcare team.
β’ Receive, prioritize, and address incoming clinical messages from patients to clinicians, while also relaying messages from clinicians to patients as needed.
β’ Conduct regular outreach to patients to maintain consistent engagement and enhance program outcomes.
β’ Provide routine administrative assistance for clinicians.
β’ Participate in special projects aimed at improving systems and enhancing care efficiency and effectiveness.
β’ Assist in the collection and request of medical records from primary care providers or other healthcare professionals.
β’ Review medical records uploaded by patients.
β’ Facilitate the handling of medical records and prescriptions, including the submission of lab requisitions.
β’ Aid in prior authorization processes, medication refills, and addressing pharmacy inquiries.
β’ Support medical clinicians with pre-visit laboratory orders.
β’ Guide new patients through their weight loss journey and respond to general program inquiries.
β’ Assist with account modifications or cancellation requests.
β’ Relay patient feedback to the Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other relevant teams.
β’ Help with clinical data collection for performance metrics and quality enhancement.
β’ Provide scheduling and appointment assistance.
β’ Address inquiries related to insurance and billing, including coverage updates, billing issues, membership fees, and eligibility questions.
β’ A Medical Assistant (MA) Certification is essential: either Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
β’ A minimum of two years of experience in a dynamic primary care, obesity medicine, or endocrinology setting.
β’ Familiarity with prescription prior authorization procedures is advantageous.
β’ Exceptional customer service abilities.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Highly organized, with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and time efficiently.
β’ Proficient in computer skills, including platforms like Slack and Google Workspace, with the ability to quickly adapt to custom-built IT systems.
