Patient Care Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Act as the main contact for patients, caregivers, referral sources, and branch locations concerning nutrition therapy orders and account inquiries.

• Handle monthly patient refill requests received via digital channels and inbound phone calls.

• Verify patient demographics, insurance details, and order documentation to guarantee accurate and timely shipment of supplies.

• Update electronic patient records and ensure precise account information is maintained.

• Respond to incoming calls, provide updates on order status, and direct inquiries to the relevant departments when necessary.

• Aid patients with refill requests, payment processing, and general account-related inquiries.

• Investigate and resolve standard patient concerns while escalating intricate issues to the appropriate clinical or management staff.

• Review patient accounts for outstanding balances and assist with payment collection activities as instructed.

• Accurately receive and process credit card and other payment transactions.

• Support team members during peak periods and challenging patient service situations.

• Ensure a positive patient experience through professional, compassionate, and efficient service.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.

• At least one year of customer service experience.

• Minimum one year of experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service abilities.

• Capability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

• Preferred experience in healthcare, pharmacy, home infusion, enteral nutrition, durable medical equipment (DME), or related healthcare support services.

• Preferred experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) or healthcare documentation systems.

• Previous call center or patient support experience is preferred.
