This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Respond to incoming phone calls from patients, insurance providers, physician offices, and healthcare facilities.
• Address inquiries and complaints related to billing, claims, claim denials, payments, and collection efforts.
• Document all customer interactions, including resolutions and necessary follow-up actions.
• Resolve questions independently whenever feasible to ensure prompt patient satisfaction.
• Timely respond to written inquiries or inform patients of any delays.
• Clearly explain account situations using straightforward language.
• Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
• Participate in in-service training to enhance skills and remain updated on contracts and procedures.
• Identify and report complaint trends to management.
• Uphold strict confidentiality standards.
• Record all actions in system notes diligently.
• Deliver positive and personalized service.
• Utilize the phone in a responsible, courteous, and professional manner.
• Meet customer satisfaction and productivity/performance benchmarks.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• An associate’s degree in health or business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• A combination of education and experience that is equivalent will be considered.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service or billing collections is preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare organization is advantageous.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate charges, payments, and adjustments.
• Familiarity with insurance processing, guidelines, and general laws pertaining to all payers.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency with the IDX practice management system.
• Outstanding customer service abilities.
• Capability to effectively multitask.
• Skills in data entry.
• Basic understanding of CPT, ICD-9, and ASA codes.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• A pleasant demeanor and high tolerance level.
• A positive attitude towards teamwork and strong interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

• Occasional standing and walking required.
