Patient Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Educate patients regarding their financial options

• Address inquiries from patients and clients

• Enroll eligible patients into financial assistance programs

• Oversee the distribution of free medications and assistance payments

• Register patients in philanthropic aid initiatives

• Handle post-enrollment tasks, such as submitting claims and ordering medications

• Verify patient enrollments for accuracy and completeness

• Escalate and appeal any denials of patient assistance

• Order, receive, and document medication orders

• Ensure timely delivery of medications to designated pharmacies

• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and clients

• Provide information to assist patients in making informed financial choices regarding healthcare

• Identify opportunities to enhance Atlas products and services

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a high-performance, accountable environment

• Practical experience in the healthcare sector is essential

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Strong listening and communication abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Proficient in computer usage

• Keen attention to detail

• Capacity to provide emotional support and empathy

• Genuine passion for patient well-being

• Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening

• Completion of medical clearance as per health system requirements, including vaccination mandates

• Remote positions necessitate a distraction-free office environment that complies with HIPAA standards, where Atlas is represented professionally

• Internet access must be provided by a cable or fiber service

• DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband connections are not acceptable

• Minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps is required

• Minimum download speed of 5 Mbps is necessary

• Consistent internet connectivity is required

• Upgrading existing internet service or switching providers may be necessary

• Modem/router must support gigabit-speed wired Ethernet connections

• At least two Ethernet connections to the internet source are essential

• The modem/router must be located in the same room as the workspace, or an Ethernet cord must reach the workspace

• Working wirelessly is not allowed
