Patient Access Scheduler, Provider and Member Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Arrange appointments for patients for diagnostic tests, surgical procedures, therapy sessions, physician consultations, and other treatments.

• Gather and confirm patient demographic and insurance details.

• Register patients and input information into the scheduling system.

• Operate in a call center-style environment.

• Achieve personal quality performance metrics.

• Deliver professional, empathetic, and friendly service to patients, their families, colleagues, physicians, and community members.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or Experience.

• Successfully complete the Patient Access training program.

• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work setting.

• Proficient in performing basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, and possesses outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.

• Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and EMR systems, along with accurate typing skills.

• Familiarity with regulatory standards including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and the Medicare coverage framework, particularly regarding medical necessity compliance guidelines.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.

• Less than 1 year of relevant experience is required.
