Patient Access Representative II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assist patients, families, staff, and external organizations with the processes of patient registration, admission, and scheduling.

• Investigate and address customer inquiries, concerns, or issues in accordance with CCHMC policies and procedures.

• Reach out to external representatives to request information or assistance in resolving issues.

• Support Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory functions by gathering and accurately inputting necessary data, information, and documents.

• Communicate system errors to management and suggest potential system improvements.

• Complete and verify documents and questionnaires needed for regulatory compliance.

• Ensure patient safety by correctly identifying patients and their special needs, and preparing isolation precautions for those with indicators of infectious diseases.

• Uphold confidentiality and protect patient and family medical and financial information during collection, usage, and storage.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

• Over 2 years of professional experience in a related field.

• Proficient in accurately completing patient registration, admission, and scheduling.

• Capable of investigating and resolving customer inquiries, concerns, or issues in line with established policies and procedures.

• Skilled in gathering and accurately entering required data, information, and documentation.

• Familiar with compliance requirements pertaining to JCAHO, CMS, and ODH.

• Ability to accurately identify the correct patient and their specific needs, and to prepare necessary isolation precautions.

• Competent in maintaining confidentiality and protecting personal medical and financial information.

• Authorized to access only the information and records essential for performing job responsibilities.
