This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Act as the initial point of contact for patients
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Assist with general appointment scheduling as well as escalation appointment arrangements
• Enroll new patients into the system
• Review and update the demographics of current patients
• Confirm insurance details
• Respond to general inquiries from patients
• Prepare communications for providers, including patient messages, triage, surgical scheduling, and other internal departments
• Welcome patients in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner
• Manage inbound calls for a busy practice while working remotely
• Accurately document patient requests and concerns in EPIC EMR
• Address patient inquiries and issues
• Appropriately escalate urgent concerns in a timely fashion
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned
• High School Diploma
• Minimum of one year of experience in a medical practice or health insurance organization
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
• Familiarity with EMR systems is preferred
• Strong self-management capabilities in a remote working environment
• Professional and positive interaction with patients, colleagues, managers, and the executive team
• High level of maturity, integrity, loyalty, and creativity
• Commitment to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Comprehensive understanding of computer information systems
• Capability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions
