Patient Access Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Request and secure prescriptions and authorizations from medical offices and insurance providers.

• Follow up with healthcare providers and payers to guarantee the timely acquisition of necessary documentation.

• Address inquiries related to Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN) and the requirements of participating providers.

• Re-verify patient eligibility for continued services.

• Ensure precise and compliant documentation in line with HIPAA and regulatory standards.

• Liaise with patients, provider offices, and internal teams to resolve issues related to access.

• Facilitate uninterrupted patient services by confirming that documentation is accurate, complete, and delivered promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, medical office, or insurance-related fields.

• Experience in insurance authorization or precertification is preferred.

• Background in home health, DME, or enteral services is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• Familiarity with insurance authorizations, pre-certifications, or prescription follow-up is necessary.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.

• Comfortable managing multiple patient accounts and meeting deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capable of working independently in a remote setting.

• Must maintain a quiet, dedicated workspace devoid of background noise and distractions.

• Ability to engage in virtual meetings with a professional and camera-ready appearance.

• Strong time-management skills, accountability, and self-motivation are essential.

• Reliable, high-speed internet connection is required.
