This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Gather precise patient information and manage patient interactions.
• Deliver patient support services to guarantee positive, professional, and efficient encounters for patients and their families.
• Register patients and arrange appointments using Cadence and/or OpTime.
• Collaborate with other services to streamline care and reduce access delays.
• Handle incoming referrals.
• Triage patient phone calls to the appropriate resources.
• Dispatch MyChart invitations.
• Collect and/or revise demographic and financial information for optimal reimbursement.
• Check in patients upon arrival.
• Collect copayments and outstanding balances.
• Inform patients and obtain signed consent for care.
• Uphold standards for infection prevention.
• Engage in strategic initiatives and hospital goal projects.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Meet productivity and quality benchmarks while adhering to Patient Access Coordinator standard practices.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years of experience in customer service and/or administrative support, and/or healthcare experience with or without scheduling and registration experience.
• Completion of Epic Training and achieving a passing score on the EUPA test within two (2) weeks of the start date is mandatory.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree or a minimum of two (2) years of college coursework in healthcare or a related field.
• Preferred: At least three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting or a related field.
• Preferred: Significant experience interacting with the general public in a healthcare or customer service environment.
• Preferred: Familiarity with diverse cultures or bilingual abilities.
• Technology, connectivity, confidentiality, and workspace requirements are subject to applicable organizational remote work standards.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
