Patient Access Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee telephone communications and respond to patient inquiries through mail or fax.

• Promptly address patient requests received via phone concierge, Website, MyChart, and CIH for appointments.

• Professionally handle phone calls, delivering outstanding customer service.

• Gather caller information and ascertain the most effective approach to satisfy customer needs.

• Interact with physicians, patients, and other professionals, ensuring timely return of phone calls.

• Schedule patient appointments in accordance with internal protocols and physician scheduling guidelines.

• Accurately collect and input patient demographic information into the system.

• Confirm patient insurance details and their participation with OrthoVirginia's insurance plans.

• Validate the information required for preparing office visits.

• Route medical inquiry calls to the appropriate resources.

• Dispatch appointment reminder cards and patient packets upon request.

• Assist with Epic Work Queues as assigned.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
