This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
β’ Arrange and pre-register patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other departmental engagements.
β’ Complete the administrative tasks associated with scheduling appointments.
β’ Accurately transcribe orders from external physicians.
β’ Manage a high volume of calls across various locations and departments.
β’ Employ multiple systems to execute scheduling functions efficiently.
β’ Provide patients with information regarding preparations and locations.
β’ Collect and accurately input patient data.
β’ Validate patient insurance and clarify benefits as necessary.
β’ Answer, transfer, and facilitate multiple phone calls among parties.
β’ Mentor new employees as required.
β’ Advocate for Intermountain Healthβs mission, vision, and values while adhering to service behavior standards.
β’ Perform additional assigned tasks.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent OR 4 years of experience in the revenue cycle.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in the revenue cycle and/or 2 years in a contact center environment.
β’ Exceptional computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
β’ Basic knowledge of medical insurance.
β’ Intermediate proficiency in computer operations.
β’ Experience in multi-channel phone communication.
β’ Typing speed of 30+ words per minute.
β’ Strong active listening skills.
β’ Proficient reading comprehension abilities.
β’ Effective critical thinking skills.
β’ Capacity for active learning.
β’ Skilled in complex problem-solving.
β’ Ability to manage high call volumes effectively.
β’ Quick and accurate communication and comprehension of spoken information.
β’ Must reside outside of California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, and Washington.
β’ Video interviews via Microsoft Teams are required; potential for onsite interviews and meetings.
β’ Ability to work remotely while adhering to confidentiality, information security, scheduling, conflict-of-interest, and equipment-use expectations.
