This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review selected cases to verify the accuracy of tissue requests and escalate to PAs as necessary.
• Ensure precise data entry is completed.
• Support fellow Pathology Support Coordinators in resolving case-related issues and offer constructive feedback on work quality.
• Document essential notes and holds on cases that involve non-conforming samples, discrepancies, or absent information.
• Facilitate timely follow-ups by the Customer Care team.
• Draft professional emails and faxes for case escalations and status updates.
• Make outbound calls to pathology labs to gather specimen information, accession numbers, specimen locations, fax numbers, and verify addresses.
• Participate in interdepartmental meetings as required and provide feedback on processes or workflows.
• Monitor errors and metrics related to tissue cases.
• Handle protected health information in both paper and electronic formats utilizing various technologies.
• Complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance, and security training within the first 30 days of employment.
• Stay up-to-date with Natera training prerequisites.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the medical industry is required.
• Prior experience with computers is essential.
• Data entry experience is a prerequisite.
• Trained on all product types and capable of accessioning with consistent high accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to manage most escalations, discrepancies, and holds effectively.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of all facets of the Accessioning process and SOPs.
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute with high accuracy is required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Excellent critical thinking abilities and sound judgment are necessary.
• Capability to execute required duties with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
