PAS Physician Advisor – Part-time, Level of Care Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Address issues related to compliance and admission status.

• Review and respond to customer inquiries, typically within 1–2 hours of submission to the queue.

• Work during pre-scheduled hours established approximately 30 days in advance.

• Adhere to quality and productivity benchmarks.

• Collaborate with attending physicians to discuss appropriate statuses supported by relevant documentation.

• Communicate with utilization review teams and/or case managers at client hospitals concerning submitted case determinations.

• Conduct written case analyses and perform reviews across various specialties.

• Promote compliant admission statuses, enhancing compliance and minimizing denial risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active, unrestricted U.S. MD or DO medical license.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience following residency, with a focus on inpatient treatment.

• Strong foundational clinical knowledge across diverse clinical areas.

• Proficient in computer usage.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Professional, organized, and equipped with persuasive writing and speaking skills.

• Strong skills in negotiation, reasoning, logic, and problem-solving.

• Ability to adapt schedule to meet business requirements.

• Commitment to weekend work, including 30% or more of hours from Friday at 7 PM to Sunday at midnight EST, based on business needs.

• Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Home office must be HIPAA compliant.

• Current Board Certification is preferred.

• Prior experience with utilization review or chart review is preferred.
