This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Establish and enhance strategic alliances.
• Lead business development efforts and discover new avenues for revenue growth.
• Build and sustain relationships at the executive level with designated partner carriers and agents.
• Manage strategic partner portfolios, ensuring accountability for revenue increases, profitability, and long-term business development.
• Conduct in-person visits to partners, with approximately 10–12 travel days each month.
• Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews that emphasize performance, growth, operational excellence, and future initiatives.
• Identify new partnership prospects to broaden market coverage and reinforce the transportation network.
• Negotiate commercial contracts, pricing frameworks, operational expectations, and growth strategies.
• Create annual territory business plans that include revenue targets and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with Sales Leadership on joint customer acquisition and market expansion efforts.
• Work alongside Operations, Pricing, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Monitor partner performance through metrics such as revenue, margin, service, claims, and operational KPIs.
• Enhance profitability through pricing strategies, freight mix optimization, lane efficiency, and network enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to boost freight volume and expand business within designated territories.
• Establish new partner relationships and pursue enterprise-level opportunities.
• Represent CCFS during customer presentations, executive meetings, industry conferences, and transportation events.
• Assist in major customer implementations that require coordination with partners.
• Act as the executive escalation point for issues related to strategic partners.
• Ensure consistency in interchange processes, EDI connectivity, POD management, service standards, and communication protocols.
• Address service challenges and advocate for continuous improvement initiatives.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, LTL, logistics, national accounts, or business development.
• Demonstrated success in managing relationships at the executive level with customers or partners.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and consultative selling skills.
• Experience in developing strategic plans for account growth.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills suitable for executive audiences.
• Robust analytical and financial skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority across various departments.
• Self-driven with a proven track record of achieving ambitious revenue targets.
• Familiarity with partner carrier networks and interline agreements.
• Understanding of LTL transportation pricing and network optimization techniques.
• Experience with territory planning in a multi-service-center environment.
• Knowledge of transportation technologies and EDI connectivity.
• Understanding of customer and partner lifecycle management.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 40–50% within the assigned territory.
