This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Establish and enhance strategic partnerships while driving initiatives for business development.
• Recognize new revenue growth opportunities and broaden market presence.
• Build and sustain executive-level relationships with designated partner carriers and agents.
• Oversee a portfolio of strategic partner relationships, ensuring accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and long-term business development.
• Conduct regular in-person visits to partners within assigned territories, approximately 10–12 travel days each month.
• Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews concentrating on performance, growth prospects, operational excellence, and future initiatives.
• Discover new partnership opportunities that extend CCFS market coverage and enhance the transportation network.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing strategies, operational expectations, and growth initiatives.
• Formulate annual business plans for assigned partner territories.
• Collaborate with Sales Leadership for joint customer acquisition and market expansion efforts.
• Work alongside Operations, Pricing, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to execute strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate partner performance using metrics such as revenue, margin, service, claims, and operational KPIs.
• Enhance profitability through pricing strategies, freight mix optimization, lane efficiency, and network improvements.
• Identify opportunities to boost freight volume and create strategic growth plans for assigned territories.
• Establish new partner relationships and explore enterprise opportunities that necessitate partner collaboration.
• Represent CCFS during customer presentations, executive meetings, industry conferences, and transportation events.
• Assist in major customer implementations that require partner coordination.
• Act as the executive escalation point for issues related to strategic partners.
• Ensure operational alignment concerning interchange processes, EDI connectivity, POD management, service standards, and communication protocols.
• Partner with Operations Leadership to address and resolve service challenges.
• Advocate for continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing partner experience and customer satisfaction.
• Over 5 years of experience in transportation, LTL, logistics, national accounts, or business development.
• Demonstrated success in managing executive-level customer or partner relationships.
• Strong negotiation and consultative selling abilities.
• Experience in developing strategic account growth plans.
• Exceptional presentation and executive communication skills.
• Robust analytical and financial acumen.
• Capability to influence without direct authority across various departments.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of meeting aggressive revenue targets.
• Familiarity with partner carrier networks and interline agreements.
• Understanding of LTL transportation pricing and network optimization.
• Knowledge of territory planning within a multi-service-center network.
• Expertise in transportation technology and EDI connectivity.
• Proficiency in customer and partner lifecycle management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 40–50% within the assigned territory.
