Part-Time Water Management Equipment Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Director of Field Services

• Provide service and account management support for clients within a designated region

• Serve existing clients by conducting water tests and maintaining equipment

• Assist in the upkeep of Comprehensive Water Management Programs

• Analyze microbiological data and water chemistry results

• Respond promptly, professionally, and accurately to client inquiries

• Perform minor maintenance on water monitoring devices

• Take on-site readings of chlorine levels, temperature, and pH using testing instruments

• Collect water samples from buildings for laboratory cultures

• Mentor or train colleagues after achieving full proficiency

• Travel to client locations and occasionally provide support to other regions

• Work approximately 55–60 hours per month

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside near Des Moines, IA

• A background in science, engineering, or mathematics is preferred

• Ability to learn to use equipment that measures pH, temperature, and residual oxidant in water

• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities

• Self-motivated and proactive; possess a "Can do" attitude

• Strong eagerness to learn new concepts

• Commitment to high ethical standards and fostering a diverse workplace

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing business environment while managing multiple priorities

• Proficient in MS Office, Gmail, and various Google applications

• Willingness to travel to client locations within approximately 300 miles of Des Moines, IA

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

• Must be able to walk extensively around client sites, climb stairs or ladders, and lift up to 25 pounds

• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire
