This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct quality assurance and quality control of NRI imagery and geospatial data obtained from contractors.

• Address and resolve issues related to imagery alignment, rectification inconsistencies, and spatial anomalies.

• Assist in NRCS imagery processing, calibration, and geospatial workflows.

• Validate annual CRP datasets for NRI survey applications.

• Ensure that geospatial deliverables adhere to national accuracy and quality standards.

• Create Python scripts, data pipelines, and geospatial tools to enhance operational efficiency.

• Design and oversee comprehensive geospatial workflows for intricate spatial datasets.

• Develop and sustain the RSL Tracker application to oversee production workflows.

• Identify workflow obstacles and implement enhancements in processes and technology.

• Manage imagery production, processing, review, and quality assurance for regional projects, including Alaska NRI.

• Coordinate schedules, milestones, technical specifications, and deliverables with contractors and collaborators.

• Monitor contractor adherence to requirements, data standards, and timelines.

• Act as a senior technical resource for complex NRI geospatial operations.

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to team members and project partners.

• Collaborate with NRCS, FSA, contractors, and other stakeholders to address geospatial challenges.

• Develop standard operating procedures, protocols, and technical documentation for geospatial processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in geospatial data, GIS, and remote sensing applications.

• Experience with Python scripting, ArcGIS, QGIS, or ERDAS.

• Skilled in developing and managing geospatial data workflows and automation tools.

• Familiarity with data quality assurance/quality control and large, complex datasets.

• Experience in coordinating technical projects and collaborating with contractors or multi-agency partners.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S. continuously without sponsorship.

• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
