Senior Systems Engineer – Hybrid Cloud Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical relationship during customer engagements, from initial discovery and demonstrations to proof of concepts and architecture approvals.

• Collaborate with account teams to assess opportunities and develop technical strategies for unstructured data, performance, scalability, and hybrid cloud requirements.

• Create and validate solutions related to file services, backup and archiving, analytics, AI/ML, and applications adjacent to the cloud.

• Develop architectures that facilitate multi-site collaboration, cloud integration, disaster recovery, and long-term data lifecycle management.

• Establish credibility with infrastructure teams, storage administrators, architects, and application stakeholders.

• Construct and maintain a technical toolkit that includes reference architectures, demonstration materials, solution briefs, and competitive positioning strategies.

• Collaborate with Sales and customers throughout the entire sales process, from initial discovery to proof-of-concept.

• Convert business and technical requirements into scalable solutions applicable across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years in a customer-facing technical position (Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Pre-Sales Engineer) within a software, storage, or technology firm.

• Proven history of leading intricate pre-sales engagements from start to finish, with measurable outcomes.

• Solid foundation in enterprise storage, file systems, and unstructured data management across both on-premises and cloud environments, including NFS, SMB, and object storage.

• Experience in supporting or selling hybrid cloud solutions, cloud integration methods, or multi-cloud data management strategies.

• Capability to translate customer needs into actionable solution designs.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills suited for both technical and executive audiences.

• Experience assisting customers across diverse industries and workload types.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including migration, tiering, and data protection, as well as experience with S3, Azure Files, Isilon, PowerScale, NetApp, Pure, VAST, Weka, Scality, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, or DevOps practices.

• Understanding of data protection, ransomware recovery, compliance, and business continuity principles.

• Experience in capacity planning, performance optimization, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.

• Must respond to work-visa sponsorship inquiries for employment within the USA.
