This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for customer inquiries and monitor notifications within the first level support and operations team (SOC/NOC).
• Quickly and reliably analyze and resolve issues.
• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot both Linux and Windows systems.
• Conduct kernel tuning, filesystem management, and Active Directory administration.
• Operate and maintain web servers and load balancers.
• Manage TLS certificate termination.
• Provide support for database-related matters in environments utilizing MariaDB, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Propose enhancements to configurations and technical setups.
• Assist in further developing operational processes.
• Train and onboard new team members.
• Share knowledge and expertise within the team.
• Document work meticulously and log working hours on a daily basis.
• Work in shifts that may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Take on additional tasks beyond core responsibilities to broaden expertise or assist colleagues.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in IT operations, not including education and internships.
• Extensive, hands-on expertise in Linux, particularly in areas such as kernel tuning, filesystems, and system configuration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, especially in Active Directory and system configuration.
• Practical experience with web servers, including traefik, nginx, envoy, and Apache.
• Practical experience with load balancers such as traefik, nginx, and envoy.
• Good working knowledge of at least one of the following: MariaDB, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Basic understanding of TLS certificate termination.
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
• Passion for sharing knowledge.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in German is an advantage.
