Part-Time Substitute Instructor, Middle & High School

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct live online courses for grades 6–12 utilizing Kolbe Academy's curriculum.

• Facilitate live sessions as per the schedule in Adobe Connect.

• Oversee and manage assigned courses within Schoology.

• Create and develop lessons, assignments, and assessments in alignment with the Kolbe curriculum.

• Engage with parents and students via email and Schoology.

• Provide prompt feedback and grading on submitted assignments and assessments.

• Conduct office hours during exam periods and upon student request.

• Complete annual initial and ongoing training as designated.

• Participate in in-service, departmental, and grade-level meetings as scheduled.

• Experience in teaching the designated subject matter in a classroom setting and/or online.

• A strong enthusiasm for technology and a solid understanding of online learning.

• Capability to develop engaging synchronous lessons.

• A lively and engaging personality.

• Highly organized and maintain a professional demeanor.

• Adherence to Catholic values and virtues.

• Experience in classroom teaching and/or tutoring homeschool students.

• Possession of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.

• A Master's degree in the relevant field or a teaching certification from any state.

• Completion of the Kolbe Academy teacher training course.

• A dedicated workspace suitable for conducting live online classes in a professional manner.

• Preferred: Prior experience teaching in an online environment.
